Accepting Payments via Moneris

Moneris is a popular back-end for accepting payments via PheedLoop. Moneris will allow you to process payments and issue refunds for ticket, booth, and sponsorship sales.

Note that we always recommend the use of Stripe as a payment gateway for significantly better functionality, product support, and quick integration. We do not offer technical support for integrations other than Stripe, you must contact your payment processor for technical support.

The Moneris integration with PheedLoop uses the Hosted Payment Page setup. Here's a blog post by Moneris describing how it works. The following steps describe how to integrate Moneris with PheedLoop.

Step 1 - Login to Moneris

Step 2 - Create Hosted Paypage Configuration

Use the Admin > Hosted Paypage Config option to click the button called "Generate New Configuration"

Step 3 - Set Up Hosted Paypage

Take note of the HPP Key and PS Store ID at the top of the configuration page, you will need these in a few moments
Basic Configuration > Description, set to "PheedLoop Integration"
Response Method > Response Method, select "Sent to your server as a GET"
Response Method > Approved URL, set to "https://pheedloop.com/payment/moneris/capture/"
Response Method > Declined URL, set to "https://pheedloop.com/payment/moneris/capture/"
Click the "Save Changes" button, and wait for the page to refresh, and notice new sections show up on the page (if they do not, refresh the page manually)

Step 4 - Configure Response Fields

Click the "Configure Response Fields" button under the "Response/Receipt Data" section
Under Response/Receipt Field Configuration, select "Return the txn_number. This field is used to perform follow-ons."
Click the "Save Response Settings" button

Step 5 - Update PheedLoop

Visit the Finance section of your PheedLoop dashboard, and update the Store ID and HPP Key fields, then click the "Save Changes" button.
